Karvansaray- "Upper caravanserai" (Azeri. Yuxarı karvansaray) is a historical monument of the XVII century, located in Azerbaijan, in the city of Sheki. Part of the caravanserai is also used as a hotel complex. The caravanserai has a rectangular shape with a large courtyard, in the center of which is a swimming pool. The total area of the caravanserai is about 6000 m² . From the side of the central shopping street, the building has a height of 14 meters, and from the side of the yard - 8 meters. There are more than 300 rooms.

It was built in 1797 by Muhammed Hasan Khan.The Palace of Shaki Khans was nominated for List of World Heritage Sites, UNESCO in 1998 by Gulnara Mehmandarova[3] — president of Azerbaijan Committee of ICOMOS—International Council on Monuments and Sites .
